(TURKEY) ACTIVITY 10 - Maths & Fundraising

For this activity our 8th class students donated 2 liras for cat houses and with that money they bought the needs for cat houses. As a result 110 cat houses were made by our students in Technology and Design lessons and they were left to the streets for the cats in snowy days.

Also all the classes collected money in their class moneyboxes for the children whose mother and father died. After a month moneyboxes were opened and the money was sent to the children.

(POLAND) ACTIVITY 10 - Maths & Fundraising

In this task - "Maths & Fundraising" students were asked to organise a fundraising campaign. First they prepared Christmas cards and decorations to be sold, then organised a special fundraising corner and announced the campaign on the school website.
Some of the cards prepared by our students.

Our school fund-raising corner.

Also, they decided to donate the collected money to the famous Polish charity action called "Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy" (organised at the beginning of January every year).

(UK) Activity 10 - Maths and Fundraising

There were many fundraising activities over this last year but the one that was the main Erasmus focus was for the RSPCA.

Pupils also got involved in Sport Relief’s ‘run yourself proud’ campaign by running 1 mile around our fitness trail.
Over 60 pupils and staff braved the cold weather and ran, walked, wheeled and cycled their way around our fitness track 3 times!
All pupils gave a massive effort and we raised over £250 which will go towards helping disadvantaged young people around the world and in the UK.

The following is a link to the most recent fundraising activity that hit the newspapers to raise money for Pendleside Hospice

Also we held a bucket appeal to raise money for Kids in Kailahun for 2 boys to get a roof on their house.

Below is our Thank you certificate.

(ROMANIA) ACTIVITY 9 - Maths and Health

For this task our students had first of all to make a eating habits diary for an entire week, counting calories at the same time.

We discussed afterwards the good and bad eating habits and, together, tried to find solutions that would allow the students to eat tasty foods while eating less fattening or unhealthy foods.

The students had to follow the healthy directions and try to keep to a healthier diet for an entire week. They exchanged recipes and shared ideas.
