Maths Rap

Shapes, shapes are everywhere.

You can see them if you care.

Look around and you will see.

All different sizes they may be.

Underwear, that's circles three

My T-shirt that's plenty.

Right angles have nowhere to hide.

Shapes, shapes are so cool

just like the maths we study at school!

We are adding numbers just to 10

Just like some on Big Ben

5 + 5 it’s the same again

4 + 6 were putting in the mix

2 + 8 you’ll never be late

King of shapes, yes that’s me

I can name at least twenty!

Circles are round, check what I found

Bagels, clocks, cups and the sun looks just like Nicole’s bun

Trying hard not to stare!

There’s an acute angle – just like me

Obtuse, reflex, right and straight

Easy to learn with your mate

Multiplying numbers in the sky

Helps my maths fly so high

7 x 7 is 49 – see I’m doing just fine

9 x 5 is 45 - I’m keeping Maths alive

8 x 7 is 56 – I don’t need no counting stick

Subtraction, minus, take away

I can do them all day

72 -56 – that’s just sweet 16

84 – 25 that would be the Brighton line

98 – 32 – 66 Let’s shout out clickity click
