Before it all happened, a few groups of students from our secondary school worked on tasks and puzzles for 6-,7-,8- and 9-year-olds. They consulted teachers of the younger pupils to make sure their tasks were appropriate - not too easy or difficult. When they were ready, they prepared game cards, the "board" on the playground and invited the youngest to take part in the mathematical competition.
Children had to draw their tasks, solve them and if they did it right - they could move as many fields as they threw with a dice.
It turned out the young contestants could do all the tasks without any help.
In the end, all the participants were asked to take a photo and given a sweet treat for their great performance :)
